Well the slacker is back. Haven't ventured out to other tracks this year, but been attending my local track and observing alot. I have seen some good races and have seen some bonehead moves from drivers, but that will always happen I guess. There is times I think that you could write a show on dirt track racing for one of those soaps for the drama that happens out there.
I would like to say congrats to the guys out there for reaching victory lane this year. It is neat to see the younger guys coming up in racing and getting that first win and it is also cool to see guys that have been around the sport for a long time still do well. Talking about younger guys coming up in the sport, remember success maybe seems like its coming easier but remember things can change in a blink of an eye. So remember to keep that ego in check.
One thing that I have observed this year and I think its real neat and shows to me that racing is a big family. At the local track I attend there is a group of guys that pit near the area where tire changes takes place during feature races that are always there to help other people work on cars that need a tire changed or any other quick fixes. It doesn't seem to matter who it is, those guys are there with an impact or a wrench to help get that car back on the track. In my eyes that true sportsmanship and what makes enjoy this sport even more. I know they have helped me out with the car I was helping with a few times. The driver and I both appreciate the help.
Another website that I would to point out to you is for Moe's Graphics out of Gothenburg, Ne. www.moesgraphicsgburg.com
There is more out there that I could talk about but I may save that for another time. There is one note that I would would like to say that I have said continous times and that is support your local racing because that track may not be there the next year.
Good luck all drivers attending the specials this year like the Super Nationals at Boone, Ia. Also stay safe.

Congratulations to:

"Racing is supposed to be dangerous. It always has been dangerous and hopefully always will be dangerous. If it were not dangerous and did not require a certain level of skill, then everybody interested would do it, and there would be nobody left to fill the grandstands." ~~ Neil Bonnett
